Free Pop-Up Workshop: Navigating Today’s Publishing Landscape

Free pop-up workshop with Literary Manager Kirsten “Kiki” Ringer, KLR Literary Management

Saturday, June 13 | Noon MT / 2:00 PM ET | Free on Zoom

Publishing has changed dramatically over the last decade and so have the roles supporting authors. In this candid and practical session, Literary Manager Kirsten “Kiki” Ringer breaks down the real differences between literary managers, literary agents, and publishing consultants, so writers can better understand who does what, how these roles are compensated, and what kind of support actually makes sense for their careers.

The session will also explore how the rise of author-publishing, hybrid models, and platform-driven marketing has reshaped traditional publishing roles creating new opportunities, and new confusion, for writers.

Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of today’s publishing landscape, the questions they should ask before hiring anyone, and the red flags to watch for in an increasingly crowded industry. A live Q&A will follow.

This workshop is free and takes place on Zoom. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
